
Footloose The Musical centres on a teenager called Ren, who moves from the big city to a small town in the West and finds that rock music and dancing are banned! This fast paced drama is a classic take of teenage rebellion and Ren’s battle to fight to abolish the outdated ban and revitalize the spirit of the repressed townspeople.
The Stage Experience provides an excellent opportunity for local children of all abilities to gain a valuable insight into the creative and challenging aspects theatre and performing arts. It allows them to perform with different people, make new friends and ultimately develop themselves within a dramatic medium alongside industry professionals.
Footloose The Musical promises to be an explosive event with electrifying dance sequences and features all your favourite tracks from the Oscar nominated hit score Almost Paradise, Let’s Hear it for the Boy, Holding Out for a Hero and the title track Footloose.
Previous students of the Stage Experience have gone on to some of the leading theatre and
dance colleges in the country. They include Laine Theatre Arts, Arts Educational, Liverpool
Institute of Performing Arts, Rambert Dance Company and The Royal Ballet School to name
but a few.
Lucy May Barker who was in our first ever Stage Experience Oliver in the title role has just
finished her West End Debut Spring Awakening. Zoe Belding and Daniel Clift have been in all
previous Stage Experiences Oliver, Wizard of Oz, West Side Story, Summer Holiday,
Oklahoma, High School Musical and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Zoe has performed at the
Grimsby Auditorium in the title role of Cinderella, as Slave Of The Ring in Aladdin and the fairy
in last year’s pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk and later this year will start at Laine Theatre
Arts School. And Daniel is currently at Arts Educational School. Both schools regarded as highly
prestigious schools in the country.
