Posted: 10 May 2010 An Evening with Lee Mead Sunday 22nd August 7.30 pm Tickets are now on sale for An Evening with Lee Mead at the Grimsby Auditorium on Sunday 22nd August to raise funds in aid of the Big Red Heart Appeal. Lee Mead shot to fame as the winner in the BBC series Any Dream Will Do to perform Joseph on the West End. Bookings for Joseph was so fast that on 3 July 2007 — when the first three months were sold out — the producers extended the show's run and Mead's contract until 7 June 2008. Lee has since performed in the lead role of the touring revival of Lord Arthur Savile's Crime and is now performing as lead Fiyero on the West End in the musical Wicked. Lee Mead said “It’s lovely to be coming to Grimsby and I’m really looking forward to doing the concert and meeting the people involved” Founder/ Trustee of the GDHC Charity Ron Kitching said “Big Red Heart Appeal has been a dream since 1997 when I set up the charity. The aim is to consolidate and improve all cardiac services at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital making it the best available in the North England”.
